Feb. 5, 2007 - Winter Tea Chair Jane Lehmann and her committee, Annie Hitzemann, Geri Mostek, and Sandy Wrobliski, did a wonderful job planning, organizing, and hosting the membership for the social portion of the evening. Door prizes were given away and Carol Bom, CEOE, NEOPA President, gave away a state membership for the upcoming school year. Combinations of half a sandwich, soup, and salad were on the menu with cookies for dessert. The Southeast High School Sophomore Select Choir - Knight Sounds entertained attendees for a portion of the evening.

This years conference is scheduled for February 23 ? 24, 2007, Olathe, KS. Registration information may be found on NEOPA's website under 2007 Central Area Conference. Contact Julie Kleager, CEOE, and let her know you are planning to attend this conference. She will help coordinate travel and room arrangements.
Your LPSAOP Board voted to host the 2008 NEOPA Spring Conference. A date is yet to be scheduled so for now, think Spring 2008!
The NEOPA Ways And Means Committee is hosting a silent auction to be held during the 2007 Spring Conference March 29 ? 30 at Southeast Community College, Lincoln, NE. The committee is recruiting individuals who are able to donate time or an auction item. Contact Beth Krohn, Jean Danley, or Mary Guest if you are able to contribute.
LAST CALL to donate books to the prison library. Please bring all books and magazines to the Winter Tea or mail them by February 5 to: East High School, Attention: Robin Douglas- Lundy. The library will accept biographies, textbooks, science fiction, fantasy, romance, mystery, true crime, self-help, westerns, non-fiction, or foreign language materials. Also any books written in Spanish or Vietnamese, all of the Harry Potter Books, "48 Laws of Power", any car magazines, People, Time, or Newsweek.
Your registration form for the 2007 NAEOP Conference And Institute must be to Michelle Lemke, CEOE, Conference Liaison, Lakeview Elementary, by March 1 to be able to take advantage of the offer from Staff Development to offset conference expenses. No exceptions will be made.
