Fall Get-Together
The LPSAOP Annual Fall Get-Together was held Thursday September 27th with 57 members in attendance. A big thanks to this year's committee Gloria Morehead, Linda Klimm, JoAnne Lahm, Wave Marcsisak, Cathy Robertson, and Jan Skoog for providing a wonderful evening. Fantastic job!
A brief general meeting was held, followed by line dancing lessons and entertainment with the Doeden Dancers. Roberta Doeden has provided instructions for the two dance steps learned, the Electric Slide and Thunder Foot. The Afghan raffle was won by Mary Lou Krull-Irving.
Indian Center Donations
The Volunteer Connection took in a lot of donations for the Indian Center at the Fall Get-Together! Donations will continue to be collected until October 31, 2007. Please donate your extra laundry soap, hand soap, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body powder, and miscellaneous personal care items! Secret Friends
This year's Secret Friends stand at the count of 16. The registration deadline has been extended to October 5th so there is still time to become a Secret Friend! Sign up now!
Cook Book Fundraiser
This year's LPSAOP fall fundraiser is underway! We are currently taking orders for SchoolMate's Quick and Easy Cookbooks (Kearney, NE) through Monday, Octover 29, 2007. The Cook Books are great for Christmas gifts, bridal showers, or just because! Orders will arrive mid-to-late November. All proceeds will go to support the LPSAOP Scholarship Fund and other service projects. The Ways and Means committee is excited to offer this great fundraiser, and needs everyone's participation to make it a success!
