Being a member of the Lincoln Public Schools Association of Office Professionals has many, many rewards. LPSAOP has several functions throughout the year. There is the Fall Get-together, Winter Tea, and April meeting where general membership meetings are held. The biggest event of the year is the Spring Dinner which is held in May. This dinner is a wrap up of the whole years accomplishments of LPSAOP members, retirement celebrations, good food, good friends, and last but not least installation of new officers. By attending these events, you have a great opportunity to get to know other members, have fun, and learn what is happening in the organization.
Involvement, such as being on a committee, serving as a committee chair, or serving as an officer is a great experience. It is a great way to meet co-workers throughout the district, share and learn new ideas and establish lasting friendships. Not to mention being able to pat yourself on the back for a job well done.
Membership is on a yearly basis, beginning July 1st and ending June 30th. New memberships and renewals are $15.00. Checks can be written to LPSAOP or you can have $1.25 deducted monthly from your paycheck.
All LPSAOP members are a part of the Courtesy Committee. Without your input it could not exist! We appreciate and count on each of you to notify the committee when there is someone who needs sympathy, congratulations, encouragement, is ill or hospitalized. If for any reason you would like to have someone recognized, please contact Michelle Lemke-Mohling, CEOE, 2009-10 Courtesy Committee chair.
What a great way to get to know LPSAOP members! Secret Friends is an activity that has been enjoyed by many. The fun is in the giving and receiving of small gifts throughout the school year. Secret Friends will be revealed at the annual LPSAOP Spring Dinner in the Spring of 2010. Here is a link to the Secret Friends form. If you have any questions, please contact Nancy Summers, CEOE, 2009-10 Committee Chair.
